There was a glitch in the initial arrangements for pickup of my vehicle for which I was responsible: I had to delay pickup availability to the following week. The selected carrier guesstimated a pickup on the following Tuesday but did not actually do so until late on Thursday evening. Instead of the delivery being made as then promised on Sunday it took place Monday AM about 25 minutes from the initially requested destination. As a consequence I had to rent a car for one week at a cost of over $200 at my own expense.

During all this time both Craig and I were dealing directly with the carrier. Craig was responsive and attentive when called upon by me occasionally and tried to expedite the process with some albeit limited success. At the end of the day the carrier delivered my car in good shape without any damage and was apologetic for the delays involved.

All told there was perhaps a bit of over promising (using a three car carrier at a somewhat higher cost would insure efficient, rapid, safer transport). But given the vagaries associated with the auto transport business both Craig and the carrier performed to a reasonably satisfactory standard under the circumstances. I am swallowing the extra personal expense involved with some heartburn but little complaint about the overall experience.
