I'm not even sure where to start. First, they quoted me at $870 - much lower than anyone else, which should have been the first red flag. They had a whole spiel in that same initial email about how other brokers would quote low and jack up the price, but not them. So I called and talked to Terry, who seems like a nice enough guy, and ended up signing with them. Meanwhile, another broker reaches out and tells me how the price that Worldwide Auto quoted is below what drivers are taking, and that they'll inevitably have to jack that price up in order to even see a profit. Lo and behold, I get a call from Worldwide Auto for a price over $200 higher than the quoted price. At that time I inform them that I'd like to cancel and I've heard from another broker. At this point I STILL haven't signed with the other broker. A few minutes later I get a call from a woman claiming to be the owner, and once again confirm the cancellation which she verifies. About a week later, to my surprise I find a charge for $375 on my credit card. After chasing a rep down for days, I finally get a hold of someone who says that it's a fee for "working with" another broker which the contract forbids.
(Also, once you sign the contract you no longer have access to it, another sketchy business practice and they have since refused to provide me with the contract.)
Besides "working with" already being contractually vague language, the other broker reached out to me and I still did not sign with them until cancelling, twice, on the phone with Worldwide Auto. While initially there may have been some confusion because of the phone conversation where I referred to another broker, I cleared the timeline up multiple times for the owner of the company, ensuring that I cancelled before moving ahead with someone else.
All this company is interested in is making money, whether that be incorrectly charging your card and refusing to refund, or intentionally misrepresenting the price to ship and surprising you with a much higher number after you've signed the contract. To top it all off, they've been incredibly slow to respond to emails and dodging calls throughout trying to get this handled. I cannot emphasize this enough, do NOT work with these people.
