I hired Viking Auto Transport (a Broker) under Service Agreement # 44331 for a cost of $540.00 on April 7, 2011 to move a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190D from Alexandria, VA 22305 to Dallas, TX 75206. I dealt with Tony D. (last name never revealed) for this transaction. Tony D. said that a deposit would be charged once a driver had been dispatched and I would be notified via email or phone, when this occurred. I was never notified of any driver assigned to my vehicle.

I was advised verbally & via email by Tony D. that the car would be picked up by 04/11/2011 (allow 2 day window). The pick-up date came & went & my car was never picked up. I never received any info from Tony D. or the company until I contacted them on 04/13/2011, at which point I was told that they are working on it and it would be picked up within 48 hours. I waited an additional 2 days & again nothing happened! So again I contacted Tony D. who gave me the same answer that I had been given all along, they were working on finding a driver to pick up the car & I had to continue waiting. At that point, I realized that this was a waste of my time & so I cancelled the order on Friday, April 15th, 2011.

I was notified via email on April 15th, 2011 that my $100 deposit would be refunded within 3-5 business days. Five business days went by & my deposit was still not refunded. I contacted Tony D. on April 25th, 2011 to inquire about my deposit, he stated that he would re-submit the request to his accounting department and I should receive an email confirmation of my refunded deposit with 72 hours.

Today is Friday, April 28th, 2011 & again I contacted Tony D. about my $100 deposit, his answer was again, "I will submit the request again to our accounting department and that I need to wait another 72 hours for an email confirmation."

This is B.S.!! I am not waiting any more for this bogus company! Therefore, I am posting this review. This company gives you a lowball estimate, so they can collect your $100 deposit. When they know full well that your vehicle will never be picked up for the estimate they quoted & you will eventually cancel the order and they will just keep your deposit.

In the Viking Auto Transport it clearly states: "YOU AGREE TO FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT IF YOU CANCEL AND A TRUCK HAS BEEN ASSIGNED BY VIKING AUTO TRANSPORT TO PICK UP YOUR VEHICLE(S).

My vehicle was never assigned to any TRUCK OR DRIVER and therefore I am DUE MY FULL $100.00 DEPOSIT BACK ASAP!

STAY AWAY FROM VIKING AUTO TRANSPORT! THEY WILL SCAM YOUR MONEY & WASTE YOUR TIME!

Dear Sam we at Viking Auto regret that your car was not picked up on a timely manner. I will make a strong point addressing your comment that we lied to you and gave you the run around. You did not mention in your review that we provided you with three different prices to move your car, and you chose the least expensive, it was explained to you that the price that you were choosing was the lowest, so your car was last in line, since there were other cars paying more to drivers. This was all explained to you at the beginning, but you still chose the least expensive way, that usually takes longer to pick up the vehicle. If you could have waited two more days we had a driver for you confirmed to pick up your vehicle. But when we spoke to you, you told us that you did not wish to wait that you would make other arrangements. Again we emphasize that Viking did not lie to you or gave you the run around on the contrary.Regarding your refund ee explianed to you why it was late and we thought you were allright with this. Your deposit has been refunded in full as you are aware. R.H.
