Re. Breach of contract by VIP Auto Transport 202 Atlantic Ave. New Hyde Pak, NY 11040 P. 888-554-9855 F. 516-747-7780
On June 15, 2008 I received a quote (Exhibit 1) for $599 from VIP Auto Transport to move a vehicle from Vernon, TX to Philadelphia, PA. The vehicle was supposed to be picked up on July 9 for $647 (including tax). On June 19, 2008, I signed a contract (Exhibit 2). On June 20, VIP Auto Transport charged my credit card for $200 (deposit, Exhibit 3) with the rest of the amount to be paid up upon delivery. On July 22, the vehicle still was not delivered and I called VIP Auto Transport to check the status (Exhibit 4). I was told that the company did not have a truck in the area at the timer, but I was assured that the vehicle would be picked up next week. I called VIP Auto Transport on August 7 and was told that my order was canceled. When I inquired about the reason, I was told that I called and cancelled it, which was a lie. When I said that I did not contact the company between July 22 and August 7, I was transferred to a manager (Mike) and was told that the prices went up and there is no way VIP Auto Transport could transport my vehicle for this price.
A month and a half later, my vehicle is still in Texas and I have not received a refund.
