I had posted earlier regarding my horrible experience with Universal transport services. They were suppose to get a carrier for me by June 16, they were not able to find one for me by June 21 ( I had booked more than a month in advance). Thats when I called and cancelled my order with them (June 21). I found another carrier (Ship a car direct), they were very nice and professional and found me a carrier on June 24. Once I wrote a review against Universal transport I started getting multiple calls from them to withdraw my review, I told them I dont want to deal with them (since they are so rude and unprofessional) and not to have me on their listings. On June 25 I get a call from Universal , their manager - Richard (worst ever person I have talked on phone). He tells me they have a carrier for me (I had already cancelled with them and my cars were picked by another carrier). He starts threatening me, I dont want to talk to him so I hang up. He leaves me a voice message - forget about the refund ($200) and now you have a good day.
I have never seen such a way of handling of customers. Please dont book with Universal transport, especially if they have staff like their manager. They will take deposit right upfront. Booking with them is the biggest mistake I ever did, I may never get my refund back.
So, book with transport company whick asks for a deposit only when they find a carrier for you.
