After waiting for some time to have my 1966 Ford Galaxie shipped from my parents house to Oklahoma I decided to go ahead and have it done so I could begin the restoration project. After getting about a hundred emails and several phone calls I choose Unique because they left me phone message that I could actually understand. I figured I would go with the company that took the time to call me instead of sending out mass emails every other day.

At the beginning, Kurt was honest and upfront - the route wasn't popular and it might take some time to get it here. Time wasn't an issue for me so I said ok let's go ahead and see what happens. He put out the quote for $800 and for 2 weeks kept me updated on the progress. Finally, Onyx transportation took interest and we made a deal for a little above the original quote. $1150 wasn't bad for a car that didn't run and barely had any brakes. I don't think anyone would have done it for $800 anyway.

After agreeing to the deal I called the diver on Sunday to get the details; he said he was having trouble with his truck and he might be a day or two behind schedule. Fine I said, and on Thursday afternoon he picked it up right from my parents' driveway. No problems. He arrived on Sunday morning and dropped it off right in my driveway - not easy since i live in a new developement that isn't exactly 18 wheeler friendly.

Overall, it was a good experience and we didn't have any problems. I have a second Galaxie that is also at my parents house so if I decide to ship that one out here I'll call Kurt at Unique.
