Do not use this carrier for the following reasons!!!!!!
1) 05/11/2010 Initial pick-up promised at 10:00am PST actually picked up at 4:30 PST
2) Once picked up very difficult/impossible to get a hold of anybody regarding information of vehicle location or delivery time. UPT has never a returned phone call. Phone calls on the following days 05/18, 19(initial delivery), 20, 21, 22-23 closed, 24-27/2010.
3) On three separate occasions I was asked to be available for the delivery for an entire day thru 10pm and all were no-shows. 5/20, 5/25, 5/26
4) 07/27/2010 The vehicle was delivered 7 days late in the evening with damage on the hood and grill area. Tried to report damage immediately - office closed. UPT did rebate $100 for the late delivery which was put towards the $953 dollar cost for the additional days plus transportation. ($423 dollar car rental bill and the six additional days to stay in the PA $105 per day for six days= $530).
5) 05/28 reported damage with pictures by 10am Est. Pictures were sent to Emmanuel Ponce. Emmanuel promised quick follow-up to resolve this issue. UPT's word cannot be trusted. NO follow-up plus never a return phone call.
6) Over a month of messages and e-mails with no responses. 95% of the time left on hold for up to 45min. UPT just giving the customer the run around.
7) 06/29, 30/2010 UPT refused to take responsibility even after admitting the damage was the fault of the transportation.
8) 07/09/2010 UPT & Emmanuel Ponce claim the damage will not be repaired because "it does not look too bad" according to the company, then changed the reasoning to include " it is not major damage".
The overall customer experience is a "zero"; the customer service is a "zero"; Ability to rectify problems/ damage caused by UPT/UPT Employees is also a "zero" Please save you and your family head aches and choose a different car transportation company. I used UPT because they were a referral, the referring parties are no longer using their services and recommend that all future clients to choose a different carrier.
