Let’s get a few facts straightened out. The driver, Jeremiah is a driver for Uber Haul Logistics, and not an outside company. The vehicle was contracted from Ship A Car Direct for transport, and we have no idea how much Ship A Car Direct has charged the customer. About the driver side window… at the pickup location, the customer informed our driver that the window is not functional and would not roll up.It is the customer responsibility to properly prepare a vehicle for transport and not ours. The driver informed her that we would not be able to haul the vehicle cross country in that condition. She insisted that we take the vehicle in that condition because she was flying out to California that same day. The driver accepted to haul it but only if the customer would accept responsibility in case rain or dust would get inside the car, which she did. By her own admission she gave us the car with a defective window and then she complains about water getting in. Which wasn’t even case since the bag stayed on until delivery and was intact until the customer removed it.
This is a very dishonest person, complained with no reason after we accepted to help her because of her circumstances. She also threatened us and Ship A Car Direct with negative feedbacks unless we reimburse her for the transport. Ship A Car Direct was forced to pay her $500.00 and they did. We refuse to pay and will not cave in to shady practices.
