Mr Gamez's complaint is with the carrier, when it should be with the seller of the car who should have INSISTED that his classic 1952 Ford Custom that was inoperable should be transported on an enclosed carrier with air suspension. As the broker we make sure that the vehicle is with a carrier that is fully insured, XPRESSFM. Inc is fully insured to transport vehicles that have at least 9 inches clearance from the ground on their open carriers.
Mr Gamez ordered an open carrier. On the document that Mr Gamez signed it states clearly that the clearance must be at least 9 inches from the ground.
Even though he knew the clearance was only 5 inches and that the car had no shock absorbers, as it is an early model car, he STILL decided to ship the car on an open carrier.
To refund money to avoid a negative review is unethical. All our reviews are from our customers. We want you to read about us.As in any business you cannot keep everyone happy. We are sorry that the car was damaged but it was through no fault of Tropical Auto Transporters.Mr Gamez should be trying to get a refund from the seller for not INSISTING that the car went onto an enclosed carrier with air suspension.Mr Gamez asked if Tropical Auto Transporters had a refund policy for damaged vehicles, when he was told no that is what the insurance is for he posted a 1 star review even though he seems happy with everything we did(except offer a refund)
