Transport Services deserves the Five Star rating for the LIES they tell you EACH day. They first sucker you in and then tell you anything and everything that you want to hear, but BEWARE!
(Added Note: 4-4-2011 ) This company also had the nerve to report to Transport Review that I was never their customer so this report would NOT show up. Still haven’t received credit of $175.00 as promised (Another Lie) as of 4-3-2011. About 5:00PM on 3-30-2011, I get a call from Transport Services and they state they will not refund my $175.00 unless I take down the Negative Comment I had given them here on Transportation Review. I ask them how can they expect me to trust them now, they state they will put it in writing, in which they have done and I now have a copy from them, stating they know they owe me $175.00 but won’t pay unless I conform to their terms. The car was delivered within two days of being picked up. (Which is true) BUT it took 7 days to get the car.!! (Nowhere close to our original agreement) AND they think this is good service. It’s just the fact they lie to you instead of being upfront and honest with you as each day goes by.
I had contracted with another trucking company to haul my new Shelby Mustang from Minnesota to Ohio. No deposit was required and I was given a contract price of $850.00 for the job via an enclosed trailer. After a couple of days I was informed they could not get to it until the first of next week.
I contacted Transport Services and spoke with Wesley on Friday March 11, 2011 about 3:00pm. I asked him if they could pick this car up by the next day Saturday before 3:00 pm and have it delivered to me no later than the following Tuesday. He assured me they could do the job because they were family owned and operated, along with being reliable and very careful with hauling the car. BUT this was going to cost me $300.00 more than what I was quoted from the other carrier. I told him if he promised me he could deliver as described; I would pay the extra $300.00. SO I had to give him a $300.00 deposit to get started. The contract price was for $1200.00
Next Day Saturday, I called the dealership and told them to expect the truck before 3:00 pm. At 12:45pm I called for Wesley and asked if everything was on schedule. I spoke with Jeremy who informed me Wesley was on the phone trying to call me and stated the truck was on its way and would be at the dealership within an hour. (First lie) I called the dealer right away to see if he had heard from the driver. He indicated he had not, but he would call Transport Services, get the drivers name & number, and call him right away. He calls me back in 10 minutes and informs me that Transport Services tells him the driver is in St Paul which is 2-3 hours away and has 2 stops before getting there. So he won’t make it until about 5-6:00pm. So the dealer tells him he will come back after the dealership closes and release the car to him. Now this is all within 10 minutes of them telling me the driver will be there within the hour!!
About fifteen minutes later, the dealer gets a call from either Jeremy or Wesley and states the driver tells him the roads are too bad to travel and won’t be there until Monday. Dealer calls me and gives me the bad news, also tells me the roads are not bad as they only had about ½” of snow overnight but it was pretty much gone by noon. ( Now Transport Service will state the dealer told him there was a bad snowstorm and they better not come until Monday. I questioned the dealer about this and he told me he said no such thing, probably an excuse not to show up. At this point I definitely believe the dealer over Transport Services) I call Monday and ask Wesley why I was lied to about the truck being only an hour away. He just transfers me to customer service. I ask the girl the same question, she never answers, just stays silent. Then tells me the truck will be there Monday and it will be a straight shot to Ohio from there and will be on time! ( 2nd Lie).
Monday comes, (3-14-2011) I never hear from the dealer or driver. I call Transport Services customer service again. I asked for the driver’s name and phone number. Lady states that the truck will be picking up the car in the late afternoon, two drivers will be assigned so they can drive straight through to deliver the car on time. (3rd Lie)
Next day, (3-15-11) no car, no telephone call. Called Customer service again. I am told truck broke down, but customer service has talked to the mechanic and guarantees car will be picked up today. At this time I tell the customer rep Arie, that I should be given a discount since they failed to deliver the car as promised. I explained I had a contract for $895.00 and agreed to pay the $1200.00 As long as they could deliver on time, in which they did not. She stated she would talk to upper management and see about getting the price adjusted. I tried to contact the driver via phone number given to me. All I get is voicemail, ask for a return call, wait for a couple hours, no reply. I call back several times, same results. I am convinced at this point the number I was given goes straight to a phone that is intended to never to be answered. I asked customer service about the drivers bogus phone number, am told the driver dropped and broke his cell and was not able to receive calls (yea right!). Apparently he was able to call them! (4th Lie)
Next day, Wednesday. (3-16-11) Am told new driver assigned to pick up car, gives me name and number. I contact the driver who actually answers the phone and tells me that he will be picking my car up Friday (3-18-11) between 3-4:00 pm. Also tells me he is an independent driver and my job has been posted on the CD board all week looking for drivers to pick this up! SO apparently they never had their own drivers assigned, no straight through delivery, no nothing! (Lied to all along!)
The new driver does keep me informed but runs into problems and picks up other loads and ends up not being a straight shot from Minnesota to Ohio as promised by him also. Also informs me that he is expecting $1075.00 on delivery. I explain I already paid $300.00 and my contract was for $1200.00 Not his problem. I contact Arie again and ask about the price difference. She informs me that I do owe the driver the $1075.00 but they will make an adjustment on my deposit credit card. If I would have not talked to the driver about this before his arrival, I would not have known this. Therefore I called customer service to verify it. I ask about our previous discussion of the discount and she just states, she will let management know. Truck and new car finally arrive on Monday, March 21st. This is NINE days past the promised date.
Contacted Transport Services after the car was unloaded on 3-21-11 and asked about my credit and amount. Customer Service states they only approved $175.00 making my price the full $1200.00. I ask when will I get the credit applied, they reply in 3-5 days. The following Monday 3-28-11, still no credit shows up. I call again. This time I am told I have to call back on Friday as this is the only day someone from accounting can help me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING RIPPED OFF, LIED TO, AND AGGRAVATED!!
