Extraordinarily good broker

Bill Avrich did an outstanding job bailing me out of a jam. The broker I initially contacted (Heather Richardson at Red Carpet Auto Transport) had not found a carrier 4 days into the 6-day window I had given for pickup, despite my giving her a month's notice and telling her that service mattered more to me than price.

With only 2 days left before my move, I contacted Bill to get a second opinion. He told me that the quote posted by Red Carpet ($1010) was too low for any carrier to pick up my car. Within hours, he found a carrier who could pick up the car within a week for $1150. A few hours later, he found another carrier who could pick up the car within 3 days for $1200. In each case, Bill brought me on the line to speak with the carrier directly so that I was involved in negotiating the price and could ask the carrier questions. The carrier I chose, Igor's Trucking LLC, picked up my car on time and delivered it in perfect condition 4 days later in Portland, 2850 miles from Washington DC.

From my first call to Bill, he quickly demonstrated that he knows the auto transport industry extremely well, and advised me frankly and in detail regarding my best options. He negotiated the best deal possible for me in a transparent and zealous fashion. He sprang into action immediately when I first contacted him, and continued to be extremely responsive to my phone calls and emails until I secured a carrier. Bill is an owner-operator who has the depth of knowledge and independence to be the most effective possible broker. In contrast, the employees who work for Red Carpet and the other three companies owned by Terry Williams (Magic Carpet, Cascade Vehicle, and Domestic Transport) compete against one another for customers, forcing them to quote low prices that may result in your car not being picked up for weeks (check out their zero star reviews and you'll find other customers who had the same experience that I did). If you want to get your car moved within a specific time window, call Bill.
