OK Folks, this was a first time experience for me in transporting a vehicle. After listening to several brokers and reading on the subject I became a bit concerned about the whole process. I started to do more research and asked local people who had vehicles transported. I ran across this website during my research, which helped dispell most of my concerns about transporting vehicles. There were many horor stories and it is obvious that not ALL brokers and carriers are the same like any business. After previously filling out an online quote page I was contacted by MANY brokers. I gradually narrowed down the list by cost at first ( limited funds ). Then I hit a wall until I found this site. I was able to narrow my list down to TWO brokers of which one I was unable to get a quote from ( no contact response and unable to bring up website ). So I had a couple conversations with Mary at "The Auto Transport Group" in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, who was friendly, helpful, honest, and reassuring. She did keep in touch over time without being annoying ( I started this process of finding a transporter back in December of 2010, but decided to wait until spring ). When the time came for the moving of my Dune Buggy I contacted Mary, and things got put in gear quickly and easily for transport at the soonest time even though I had no specific time line and no hurry. Well, Mary called back about ten minutes later informing me that my car had been posted on the board and already was assigned a carrier. This was wednesday (5/4/11) and the pick up was scheduled for Friday (5/6/11 ), which went as planned ( from Sacramento, CA to Bloomville, NY ). The arrival date at my residence was planned for the following Friday (5/13/11 ). We got a call from the driver on Sunday ( 5/8/11 ) telling us he would be at our place on Monday ( 5/9/11 ). He called twice more and got to our area about 5:45 PM Monday. He unloaded, I paid him, and we were both on our way. Unbelievable !!! I have been very detailed with all of this in case there are other first timers so they see the entire process and understand that if you use The Auto Transport Group things will go well. There are circumstances sometimes beyond the shippers control I am sure, and people who are exremely demanding and hard to please, but this company did everything they stated they would for a no hassle transaction. My experience was as good as it can get with straight forward answers to questions, explaining the process, and doing everything they said they would and obviously even sooner. They do not charge a deposit fee until a carrier is assigned. The Carrier got paid the balance upon delivery of the vehicle. The driver ( Ihor ) was friendly, careful, and prompt in his actions due to a busy schedule. Overall this was the simplest excellent experience I could have had. These people kept their word all the way so I would recommend them to anyone with complete confidence. This is my own personal NO BULL review without any obligation to The Auto Transport Group in any way. I believe reward is due when earned and deserved - period.
