I scheduled a pickup for a motorcycle at 1130AM on a Wednesday and paid them $200 as a deposit via Paypal. At 12:08PM on the same day, we had to cancel as the motorcycle was not going to be available. Ed at Auto Transport said that he would have to pay a cancellation fee to the trucker. I actually work as a freight forwarder, so I work with trucking companies every day of the week. In the 35 years that I've been doing business, I've never had a trucking company bill a cancellation fee when the order was cancelled on the same day, let alone within a half an hour. An attempt to discuss with them led to numerous phone calls and obviously no resolution. These guys just get your deposit and then they don't really care what happens after that, as they've made their transaction monies. Avoid these guys like a plague, they're nothing but crooks and have no regard for anything but to get your deposit and then they'll just disappear.
