Moving a vehicle is a very emotionally trying time. I have learned a lot about the process or relocating a vehicle that I would like to share. First of all, there are only a few ways that a consumer can directly contact a company to move their vehicle. An example would be driveaway service. Most people, however, will use a transport company like Stateway, or one of many others. They are brokers, and they attempt to secure a spot on a CARRIER's truck for you. They do not move your truck for you. Semantics?, maybe. But an important distinction. When they are trying to find passage for your vehicle, you must be patient. If you are patient, I can assure you that your vehicle move will be pleasant enough. If you must have your vehicle by a certain date, perhaps you need to use a different mode of transport. Just my suggestion.

When I moved my vehicle, I WANTED it ASAP, but I didn't NEED it ASAP. Still, I conveyed my desires to Denise at Stateway, and I felt she honestly cared about me getting my Landcruiser. She always returned my messages or emails promptly, and we were able to move the vehicle within the 7 day period they quoted. From what I now understand of this industry, these brokers have little control when it comes to getting the carriers to pick up your car. What it comes down to is flexibility and how much you are willing to pay. Once you sort those out, I think you will be happy using Stateway. Take it from me, this industry is not big into customer service...but Stateway is! I would not hesitate to use them again. If you are like me, you will get 15 quotes from 15 different brokers. I feel like I got lucky when I chose Stateway.
