I chose Stateway because of the price they quoted me and the length of time they have been in business. I needed to move a 2005 Saturn VUE from Minot AFB, ND to Clarksville, TN. I was quoted $885 to get this done. I paid a $185 deposit via credit card and paid $700 C.O.D. at time of delivery. I had never shipped a car before so I was paranoid that things would be complicated, but the folks at Stateway eased my worries with e-mail updates. I understood the logistics of such a move so I gave Stateway a good sized time window for both pickup and delivery. Both pickup and delivery was within the time frames I gave them. I didn't really get a "heads-up" for pickup....my phone rang and the gentleman on the other end said the driver was waiting for me outside of the Air Force Base gate. Same with delivery....the driver just showed up at the delivery address with no warning. This wasn't an issue for me at all, as I was prepared, but I could see some people complaining about that. I read some of the negative reviews on this company, but I took it with a grain of salt, as I know people who could win the lottery and still find something to complain about. I am an active duty Master Sergeant in the USAF, and I will recommend this company to my coworkers, friends, and family for auto transport needs.
