I used State 2 state becasue the dealership suggested using them. However, I wasn't aware that they would subcontract out the delivery of the vehicle. Here is my experience with the company they chose to fullfill the delivery:
I had a terrible experience in getting my new car shipped from California to NC. The communication on LG's end from the start was very poor. They were unspecific about when my car would be delivered as far as a particular day of the week. I expected the overall communication to simply be better since I paid them $850 and they were shipping my $27,000 vehicle.
The driver was supposed to contact me on a particular day and he did not. I had to track down his name and number from the dispatcher. When I called him he was in a city 3 hours from my destination with only 1 more delivery to make yet it took him nearly 9 hours to deliver my car from where he was. Also, he spoke very little to no English. When I called the dispatcher back to complain and express my concern about when and if the driver would actually deliver my car he commented, "he responds better to text messages bc of the whole English thing."
After exchanging some broken English texts with the driver he said he would deliver my car at 4:00 pm in Charlotte. He arrived at 8:00 pm and we met in a poorly lit parking lot. It was raining and 25 degrees. The driver was clearly in a hurry and had very little to say and we couldn't even understand each other. I inspected the car as good as I could (it had been on the road for 8 days with a good bit of dirt, plus it is a black car) and signed the paperwork.
The next day I was able to wash the car and realized there was some damage to one of the doors. LG basically wouldn't do anything since I signed the paperwork. I got 5 estimates of the damages and submitted it to LG. I got no response. I ended up having to file a claim with my insurance since the damage was $1800. I would not deal with this transport company. They have clearly set up their practices to protect themselves and have a system in place that takes advantage of the customers.
Once I contacted David to let him know what happened he basically said it was on me and I needed to talk to LG moving to work it out. My issue is that I never even knew LG Moving was involved until they called me and told me that they had my car. That is unacceptable.
