I would highly recommend Starr Relocation Services. After looking around and getting several different quotes to have my Toyota Corolla shipped from California to New York, I settled on Starr Relocation. I found Starr to be the cheapest but I still had several questions to ask my Customer Representative to really seal the deal.
My customer rep's name was Shari and she was AMAZING. I am of a "nervous nelly" and had a list of questions I wanted answered before I put my deposit down. Shari answered all of my questions and was so unbelievably nice about putting my nerves at ease. She walked me through the entire process and was available for me to call her and ask any last minute questions I had.
After putting my deposit down (Friday) my car was put on the dispatch and on the following Tuesday morning my car was picked up. Now this was the only issue I had with the whole process and I'm not sure if it was a problem on Starr Relocations side or the carrier's side but I was under the impression that I would be getting a 24 hour notice when my car would be picked up in California but on Tuesday morning when I woke up….I was given 45 MINUTES NOTICE! I almost had a heart attack but luckily I was able to get everything together and meet at the rendezvous point to have my car picked up. Like I said….I'm not sure if this was a mishap on Starr's part or the truck carrier's part. Either way…it still would not deter me to use them again.
My car was delivered to NY 5 days later (SUPER FAST) and was in perfect condition. I also received 48 hours notice before my car was dropped off in NY. Which gave me ample time to plan for someone to be there to pick up my car.
I did not have one problem at all. The only thing besides only getting 45 minutes notice in getting my car picked up was that when I called to speak to my representative at Starr…they said she no longer worked there which I found odd considering I had just spoken with her 3 days prior. Regardless of why she no longer works there…she did a FANTASTIC job putting my nerves at ease and I cannot thank her enough. Great customer service on their part. Thank you Shari!
