This is my second "across the country" move using an auto transport company. This is my first time using Specialty Mobile Systems. We moved from Hawaii to Maryland. I dropped both vehicles (01 Expedition and 79 LTD) off at the Matson terminal in Oahu on 4 June. They arrived in Long Beach, CA on 15 Jun and were picked up by Pioneer Express on 19 Jun (Matson related vehicles usually take 4 days to be processed before they can be picked up). I received both vehicles on 2 July. Both vehicles were pretty clean and there was no damage. Dee Taylor took my order, was straight forward, and reliable. I was a little concerned when I heard Pioneer Auto Express would be the transporter (based on a review on this website). But, I was very pleasently surprised. I had a third vehicle moved by the government (military move) and when I received that vehicle, it was dirty and had some minor damage. Pioneer transported my two vehicles in an open carrier and I know there are insects on the highway between California and Maryland. However, there was very little evidence on either the Expedition and LTD (both very large vehicles). I highly suspect they were washed at some point. The only minor issue was it took a few days longer then promised to receive the vehicles. But that was negated by the great condition the vehicles were in when they arrived. I would definitely use Specialty Mobile Systems again.
