I shopped around for transporters after I bought a new Hyundai Elantra on Ebay located in Philadelphia and I live in SLC, UT. The range of quotes started at $850 (terminal-to-terminal, no insurance) up to $1100 (door-to-door, insured). At $995, Speciality Mobile was among the lowest priced door-to-door shippers with insurance included.

Here is the timeline:
11/4/04 - I fax shipping request to SMS (Speciality Mobile Systems).
11/8/04 - SMS calls to tell me the car will be picked up late 11/9/04 or early 11/10/04.
11/11/04 - car is picked up at 9am (one day late). SMS never called me to let me know the truck was behind schedule.
11/15/04 - car is delivered to my office by a very nice fellow.

Overall, the price, delivery time, and delivery quality were excellent and I would recommend SMS to anyone. I was hoping for more communication-SMS never called me to tell me the car had been picked up.

Also, I think it is important to mention that I am writing this review at the request of SMS. Two weeks after the car was delivered, a SMS rep called me to make sure I was satisfied with the service. I said yes, and she asked me to leave a review on this site.
