This is my first experience shipping a car so I spent a lot of time contacting companies, reading reviews et cetera. I selected Specialty Mobile primarily because they seem to have so many favorable reviews. Several companies/brokers offered lower prices and several were higher.

After your car is ready to go, the major uncertainty is how long you will have to wait before one of the shippers (who work with Specialty Mobile) are in your area. Fortunately, I was flexible and could wait. The actual delay from car availabilty to actual pickup was less than three weeks. (I imposed some blackout dates when there would be no one home to receive the car so I made it a bit more complicated than necessary.

A few days before loading, the driver and I negotiated a pickup location about 1/2 mile from my home. (Be considerate of the driver since car carriers can be quite high and might bring down telephone lines near your house if you insist on door-to-door, making you immensely popular with your neighbors.) Pickup in NJ was on Aug. 3rd, and delivery in Idaho was on Aug. 8th. Which is fast. So fast that you have to be sure your payment gets to the other end before the car does.

I'm pleased and would use them again if I needed to.
