VERY QUICK SERVICE, BAD EXPERIENCE

First of all I must say that I was absolutly amazed at how quickly my car arrived from CT. This was the third company I had dealt with, the other two never even were able to give me a solid date for pickup of my car. I contacted Specialty Mobile Systems on a Wednesday and had my car on the following Friday.

The down side. My car was shipped by a company called West Transportation. When the car arrived it was filthy as expected. I noticed a dent in the trunk and asked the driver. He said that was how he picked it up and showed me the paperwork which sure enough had a "D" annotated on it. So I took the car since I had been waiting for it for over a month. I drove it to the closest car was and hosed off the salt and road dirt. I noticed the car had no gas left in it but I had left it with nearly a full tank. I also noticed the car now had 50,200 miles when it had 49,800 when it left CT. I was even more shocked to see that not only were there dents on both sides of my trunklid but that someone had spray painted the back of my car to try and hide them. I immediatly called the driver again and again he denied any fault in the damage. I also obtained a copy of the original bill of laden from CT that showed no damage on the rear of the car. I then called my insurance company and put the car in the shop for repairs. Total damage was over $1200. I had to pay my $250 deductible.

I sent Specialty Mobile an e-mail detailing my experience. I was called by Don and he assured me that they would no longer use West Transportation. He even refunded my deposit of $170 and offered to help me if I decided to pursue legal actions against the carrier.

So in summary my dealings with Specialty Mobile was very good. From the first time I called I had no waiting on hold or low ball quotes. The were honest and I feel that they sincerly felt bad for my situation. I would use them again if I had to ship a car.
