The cost of the transport was one of the cheapest I could find, so I shouldn't complain that much. In the end, you get what you pay for. Because of the relative small amount that I pay, the company had a hard time finding a carrier to move my car. After 10 days, I called and they told me that one carrier had asked for $200 extra. I responded saying we had an agreement, and it is not my fault if they didn't calculate the price right, and if they were not able to find a carrier soon, I would have to go with another company. Three hours later, they called back telling they found a carrier available to pick up my car either that day (Monday) or Tuesday afternoon. The carrier told me they would be at my place sometime after 4 30, but they arrived at around 10 30, which I considered a lack of responsibility. They loaded the truck and headed for Kansas. The delivery date was supposed to be either Friday night or Saturday afternoon. I called all day Friday to the carrier and Specialty Mobile to check the actual date of delivery, and so I could make arrangements, but the carrier was impossible to contact, even though they were clearly office hours. I had an event on Saturday night, and the guys called me during a dinner I was having with some friends before the actual event. They told me they would be there in 4 hours. I decided I could leave the event a little bit earlier, so I agree with their time. They called me two hours later saying they were not going to make it, so the delivery would have to be changed to Sunday morning. I said well, what the heck, that's fine. So, finally, I got my car on Sunday morning.
It wasn't the service I expected from this company, I mean, it had some deficiencies, but I also try to understand. I ordered the car the week before Thanksgiving, so I really didn't expect it to get picked up that soon. And the price was cheap, previous transport from Virginia to Kansas cost a minimum of $750. That's why I'm giving the transport only an average rating.
