After being keel-hauled by two scam auto-transport brokers, I turned to SMS because of their excellent reviews on this web site. My move was not an easy one: Move a big 1966 Pontiac Catalina from rural Kentucky all the way out to Salem, Oregon. I was told by Mr. Don Ferris, the owner himself, that they would "get the job done". It took more than three weeks to finally get a driver, but I never felt like SMS was not doing everything they could to move the car. Dee, SMS's receptionist was warm and friendly, and I got a good feeling about the company right away. My move specialist Corry was also friendly, and very helpful. He was always available to answer my phone calls, and update me as to the status of my car. This move was not typical due to the rural pickup location, long transport distance, and large size of the vehicle, however SMS never made me any false promises. They said they would find a driver and they did. Additionally, my classic Pontiac arrived without any damage whatsoever. Bottom line: In an industry where there are crooked brokers at every turn, it is nice to know there are still honest auto-transport brokers out there like Specialty Mobile Systems. I highly recommend SMS.
