transfered my car from CA to CT. Everything on the SMS side was great. Corey, and amy were extremely helpful, and got back to me literally within 5 minutes of me calling them. The reason why I didn't give them a 5 star, is because i had an issue with the company they contracted with. I realize that it was out of SMS's hands, but the towing company (Apple towing) took longer than i had hoped. Unfortunately for me, the home base of apple towing is in Hartford, CT, which is where i was shipping my car. So instead of taking a good 6 day cross country trip (it was summer and the weather was great), they took nearly 2 weeks to deliver my car. That was an extra 200 dollars in rental car cost. They kept on delaying their arrival date, and i suspect that since the home base was hartford, they decided to leave my car as the last drop off, since they were heading to hartford anyways. I must admit though, that i was very impressed with the service from corey and amy, always helpful and understanding, and hounded apple towing on my behalf. my car arrived w/out a single mile added on it, so i know it wasn't driven often (for those of you worried about people driving your car for joy rides), although there was a slight scratch on the hood, probably from a pebble that i didn't notice until i washed my car. in the end, they did deliver as promised, although it took a week longer than expected, and apple towing kept on giving me excuses of truck problems, and delaying my delivery dates. this was my first auto transport, and i probably would go with them again, since SMS service was so good.
