Well folks if you pick this carrier you are in for a nightmare!! I was quoted $690 to ship a Jeep from Maine to Missouri, should have known this low ball price was to good to be true and was strickly bait & switch. I filled out the form on Sept. 5th and sent it back to South beach. I talked to a Derick Venuable on the 5th. and told him I would even give him to the 10th. of Sept. to pick up this Jeep and he said that was no problem. 3 days went by and no response so I called to talk to Derick at South Beach and a fast talking lady with a accent picks up the phone and tells me Derick no longer works here [ RIGHT DECISION DERICK] so i told her my vehicle was suppose to be picked up by the Sept. 10th. and she said we will get right on it and will call back the next day with some shipping info. Well the call never came so I left a message on there recorder over the weekend of Sept. 13th that if this Jeep is not shipped next week I will do buisness elsewhere. I get a call at a ridiculous time of 7:10 AM. Mon. morning from some soft spoken customer service rep that tells me that it could take months to pick up this Jeep in the middle of nowhere in Maine and he also realized that no carrier would ever pick up the Jeep for the price Derick quoted me so he threw me under the bus and said no deposit has been taken out and that i could do buisness elsewhere. So let us take a overview of this company. 1. I was given a low ball price that was never going to happen any time soon, I call this bait & switch. 2. It was Mon.Sept.15th when this moron calls me at 7:10AM and no hauler was even contracted yet to pick up my Jeep. 3. I filled the form out on Sept 5th.with my credit card deposit and was courteous enough to give them to the 10th. to pick up the Jeep. 4. Was told by customer service 10 days later that it could take months to pick up this Jeep in Maine and the rep said I will bet you a $1000 dollars no carrier picks up this Jeep right away. Is it just me or does this sound like a negligent, incompetent, no communication transporter that is out to make a quick buck on a low ball price no matter how long it takes for the customer to wait. South Beach Transport hides behind the better buisness Bureau with a A+ rating because they finally make it right after weeks upon weeks of making there customers miserable and they don"t want to lose there license so they heal to the BBB.
The lesson to be learned here is, if the price sounds to good to be true, then it is to good to be true. BUYER BEWARE of this incompetent Transporter
