I did my due diligence when searching for a reputable company to transport my 2017 Chevy Corvette Stingray from Philadelphia to Los Angeles & I thought I found the right company but I was completely wrong. Smh. paul carter, the agent I dealt with there at sonic was a speedy talking salesman that saw an opportunity to fast talk his way into an extra $200. I initially was quoted $1,085... but I wanted to ship my ride enclosed then that price jumped up to $1600. I really didn't have a issue with that knowing that my ride would be safer in that travel setting. What I had an issue with was the pick up date. I was still in the process of moving & the movers were coming the day after. I had to Uber to the U-haul location instead of the luxury of my purchased hot ride. Even though this was a minor inconvenience, he acted as if that day was the ONLY option and I was stuck with the schedule he provided. I asked to communicate through texts because his fast speaking nature brought me several headaches. I asked was the $1600 the final price? He replied, correct. Later to get a call back with him saying it's hard for him to book with the truck driver because he wants more money! I argue him down and quoted back what he told me. He made up this lie saying that he needed to set up the truck driver with 2-3 other cars to make him satisfied with taking my ride at what he called "The lower rate". paul carter told me all I had to do was pay an additional $200 & the truck driver will be good with that. ALL LIES! I spoke to the truck driver, Alex with VIKS Enterprises and his flat rate for enclosed was $1300! paul cartar finangled me out of an extra $200 just because he wanted to. So, in TOTAL... I paid sonic transport $500 to (find) VIKS!! That's ALL!! The way he handled me was so disrespectful and deceiving!! Alex with VIKS told me that he did not demand any extra money and that paul was indeed lying for his own gains & for me to connect with him directly to avoid being scammed again. SMH. Alex was a sweet dude and very communicative while having my prized Corvette aboard his moving truck. I will pay VIKS a 5 star review for his customer service and no damaged cross country delivery! But as for paul at sonic transport.... well, your a liar and a thief. $500 to find a company and to make more money is a karmic price you will have to pay if you haven't already for deceiving Godly people of the world. paul carter, should be terminated so no one else falls victim to this deceiver.

As per our system, the initial quote was for an open trailer and as Paul explained to you, we needed to look for a new driver for enclosed one. The estimated quote was $1600, but it’s the carrier company who sets up the final price. We've reviewed your order, the $545 was the partial deposit that is calculated by the system automatically according to the driver’s insurance.
