2 door GMC Sierra 1500 short bed pick up going from Nevada to Michigan

Signed the contract on April 4 with the pick up scheduled for April 14. We had a guaranteed price of $750.00, as per conversation with Juan. The date was perfect as I was flying home to Michigan on April 18 , thus giving me time to load and talk specifics with the driver. I was assured up to the conversation on April 13 that the contract would be honored and we were good to go. April 14 came and went as did several more days due to the weekend. The next call resulted in a new pick up date of April 19. For the second time no call no show. After several more calls we were led to believe that my truck would be picked up no later than April 21. For the third time no call no show. Frustration continues and at this point we were told, the quoted price of $750.00 will no longer secure us a truck and it will take several hundred dollars more to get a pick up date. Finally a new pick up date of May 4, 30 days after signing the contract. For the first time we were given the name and phone number of the truck driver. Final price to me $950.00 not the $750.00 I signed the contract for.
What you need to know:
1. Lowest prices usually represent a selling technique to get you to sign. There is little or no service available at low quotes.
2. Most likely they are professional sales men working on commission and will tell you what you want to hear.
3. Be prepared to make several calls to get action once when it goes bad.
4. You will never get a follow up call to make sure the pick up was successful.
5. Showtime transport did not get the facts correct from the start. The driver was told my pick up truck was an extended cab, the long version. Its a 2 door short bed. They also got my phone wrong.
I FOUND THIS EXPERIENCE WITH SHOWTIME TRANSPORT TO BE A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE, A LOT OF AGGRAVATION, AND COSTLY WITH AN ADDED EXPENSE OF $200.00.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT SHOWTIME TRANSPORTS TOP PRIORITY.
