This was my first time transporting a car, so I was quite apprehensive, especially after reading the warnings about the industry scams and pitfalls in the emails from some of the brokers I got quotes from. I got a good quote from Honesty First Auto Transport and immediately called David Franco, my email contact, to get more info. He was very good to work with and was honest about how the process worked. His was one of the lower bids, and David explained that the higher the bid, the quicker I would get a deal. I opted to stick with the low bid to see what would happen. After 4 days with no response, I called David again and he suggested I raise my bid to a level that was still about 15% below most of my other quotes. I got a contract later that day with Sam's Transport.
I called Sam's to confirm my order and they said they would be out the next day to pick up my car. They came exactly on time and were very friendly and professional. They delivered my carto PA from AZ in 4 days, which I thought was quite remarkable. My son picked up the car at the meeting point and it was delivered with no problems.
I had a lot of concerns about this (like what happens if my car winds up in Mexico and I never see it again!), but was reassured by the professionalism and documentation privided by Honesty First and Sam's Transport. I also save about $150 versus my other bids and couldn't imagine getting better service than I got.
