Overall, Ship a Car Direct was great. I actually didn't have to talk to anybody on the phone, I scheduled my car to be shipped online, and they came back with a quote very quickly. It was ~$1500 total to ship cross country (open carrier) - $300 to the broker (Ship a Car Direct) and $1200 to the auto transport company (Rapid Auto Group). My car arrived in just over a week and in the same condition as I left it (but with some mud and bugs on the car, which is understandable). They also allowed me to put 100 lbs of stuff in the trunk, which wasn't covered by insurance. A small inconvenience I'd like to point out is that the payment due to the transport company can only be done through cash or cashier's check. I believe you can pay with a credit card, but they charge a fee.
