This was my first time shipping a car. Overall, it was hassle free, but a little frustration did creep in. The short story, I put my dates in that I wanted the car shipped, a window of dates. Emails were sent to me keeping me updated on the status of possible shippers. Ship a car direct is only a broker, they do not have their own fleet of trucks. As my window of dates was closing I began to feel a little stressed that things weren't happening fast enough so `I looked around at other companies. A week later I was notified by a text saying great news this company is taking your car. Ship a car Direct basically turns you over to the acquiring company and then emails you saying if you need anything here's a bunch phone numbers or emails to help. The coordination between the shipping company and myself was all driven by me which had I known I might have re thought as I had zero time to coordinate. Thank goodness the seller spoke Spanish and was able to be very accommodating in the pickup as there was no exact day or time given to me. My vehicle showed up a little late, no biggy, most important not damaged and the price was great.
