I did a bunch of research about how to ship my car from MD to CA, and settled on Ship a Car Direct. Cory was helpful and laid out the process pretty well. I requested the shipment on July 30, wanting the car to be shipped on August 12th. The car got picked up on August 16th and was in CA by Aug 21. The carrier called the day before it was set to arrive and gave me a three hour window, then the day of gave 40 minute notice to go meet at a location (not near my actual apartment). He was a little late, but the drop off was pretty smooth. I appreciated that they let me pay in full via credit card, although they did charge 5% on the remaining balance after the $250 deposit. All in all, it worked pretty well.
