I studied shipping my eBay purchase, and got quotes from several companies. I was NOT looking forward to the process because most of the reviews about all of them were horrid.

Ship a Car Direct was the most forthcoming and transparent of the shippers I investigated. I learned from them that the shipping companies aren't really shippers, just brokers. The actual shippers are independent third parties, and the brokers have little control over the process.

I felt better using Ship a Car Direct since they claimed to only use carriers that they have a good history with. The others may do the same, but they didn't say anything about it.

Overall, the vehicle arrived on time (though the pickup was several hours late the same day), there was no damage, and all of my questions were answered prior to commitment. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
