Shipping a car across country at the same time as moving house and starting a new job is about as stressful as it gets - in the end my experience was fine, but the required amount of flexibility for pick-up times and locations was a challenge to manage and as great as David and his team at Ship a Car Direct are, there's never a guarantee of the communication with the driver and carrier and you will need to be prepared to be flexible and have secondary transport organised. The biggest issue I had was at the end destination, locating the driver at our agreed upon meeting point (a large parking lot at a mall) - the driver was under pressure from local security guards and started to lose patience with me because I couldn't understand him or hear him clearly on the phone. As a result, I was unable to find him and I genuinely thought he was going to leave without delivery the car - he didn't and it worked out ok, but my level of anxiety was through the roof by that point, so just be ready for that!
