That happens sometimes when customers live on or around tight cul-de-sacs, or steep hills, or even in areas with low-hanging trees. Because the trucks are large and have other customer vehicles to juggle, they may have to arranged to meet you in a parking lot because they need a straight, wide open area to load/unload safely.
