Ship a car direct had excellent customer service. They followed through with all questions. Adam was friendly and knowledgeable. He returned my calls within a reasonable amount of time. The price of shipping was very high because of the time I was sending my car from Florida to Ct. It was at the end of the season and I decided to ship only a few days before pickup. I actually had other quotes that were a few hundred dollars more. Ship a car direct gave me an internet quote almost immediately. I had used another broker he never go back to me with a quote. His fee was also a lot higher than Ship a car direct. The company that Ship a Car Direct used was very professional. They could not get into my community in Florida so they called and I met them right outside my gate. They drove me back to my house and then loaded the car. I had a few questions so I called their customer service department. They answered immediately and satisfied my questions. Upon delivery the carrier drove my car to my house and were followed by their company car. They delivered right to my door despite the fact that their truck could not make it into my street. I had a cashiers check already made out to the carrier as per Ship a Car Directs instructions. My only negative issue was that the carrier was a day late in delivery. They said that they did not guarantee the car to be there exactly on Monday which after I read the contract I realized they were correct. It still was very inconvenient.

Thank you for your very thorough review, Barbara! You bring up a really good point about timing - even when carriers want to meet their target estimates, drive times are not exact or guaranteed. It is realistic to leave a little wiggle room around the timing projections.
