I recently moved cross country from NJ to Cali. We would have loved to drive cross country, but having a 2 month old baby made this not feasible. We researched many car shipping companies, and there seemed to be mixed reviews on all of them, so I decided to go with Ship a Car Direct based on gut feeling. We worked with David via email, and he was prompt and courteous in responding to all of my emails.

Once they assigned me a carrier (GSI Carriers in Morganville, NJ), we worked with 1 driver only. He called us via cell phone to arrange a pick up time, and was able to come within 1 block of where we lived. He came on the exact date we requested pick up despite many other carriers telling me they couldn't guarantee a specific date due to it being their busy season. He was really nice and knowledgeable. We filled out a detailed inspection of the vehicle together and then he loaded it up and was gone. Once we got to California, he called us to tell us he would be dropping the vehicle off on a certain date (14 calendar days from pick up). He kept in touch via cell phone and called us again the day before delivery and then the day of delivery to confirm his drop off time. (For both pick up and delivery, he called about an hour before we were to meet him just to pin down a more specific time). Again, he was able to drop the vehicle off about 1 block from our new apt (they can't come right on the residential street with the big 18 wheeler). The car was exactly as we left it, with the exact same mileage. Not a fancy car (Honda Fit) but glad to see he still took excellent care of it. Also, we had accidentally left one of those mirrors for viewing your infant, and that was still in there also.

It was a good experience and if I ever move cross country again (which I do NOT recommend you do with an infant HAHA), I would definitely use this company, especially this carrier.
