Since this was the first time I was shipping my vehicle, I did extensive research on the websites to get as much information as I could on auto transport companies. I also "called" these companies to talk with them directly to get information. I am somewhat of a cautious person when making big decisions but after talking to Matt from Ship-A-Car-Direct, I felt more at ease and comfortable and confident that this company would meet all my needs. Matt was very friendly, professional and pleasant to talk to. He was very helpful, efficient and patient in answering all of my many questions. He reassured me of complete customer satisfaction. I was told about the door-to-door pick up and delivey service, that no up front deposit was required( until they called us with a truck carrier ,) the damage free guarantee on my car and the transport fee which was reasonable. He was able to find a truck carrier for me within one day. My car was actually picked up at my house (in Illinois) that very next day and delivered on time (and safely) three days later to Arizona where my daughter goes to college
I was quite nervous about this whole process but it went very smoothly and without any problems.
The trucking company (Amber Trucking) that transported our car was reliable and very efficient. Walter - the truck driver was very nice and friendly and gave us his cell phone number so we could keep in touch and updated regarding the delivery of my car. The car was delivered to my daughter at a very convenient location for her to pick it up. The car was a little dirty but ( being that it traveled across country) that is to be expected. I and especially my daughter was very happy that the car was in great shape and delivered within the time that was promised. All in all, I am happy that I chose Ship-A-Car-Direct and would highly recommend them to my friends and family. I would also recommend for you to go to their web-site and watch all the videos that they post to help you learn about the process of shipping your car - it is very informative and will answer many of your questions.
