Late pickup, late delivery, car moved truck to truck

I got two cars shipped from Austin, TX to San Jose, CA in end of June.

Pros
- Prompt and friendly customer service
- Cars arrived without damage

Cons
- Cars were picked up 3 days after the earliest available date. I had consulted customer service about my earliest pick up date and they had assured me the cars will be delivered on time. They didn't assign a carrier until a day before my earliest pick up date. Then I was told pickup will be 2 days late. Actual pickup was 3 days late.
- Cars were one 1 truck from Austin to Los Angeles. Then they were moved to another truck that transported them to San Jose.
- Cars were delivered 5 days after when I was expecting them. I was renting a car but had to extend my rental by 3 days because of this.
- Drivers were rude. Pickup driver first agreed to put my cars on the top deck but later called me back to ask for more money which I refused. My cars were shipped on the bottom deck. The delivery driver wanted payment by cash or cashier's check and threaten to not deliver the cars with a personal check. I later read my paper work that I was expected to pay cash or chashier's check. I paid cash.

Thanks for your feedback, Puneet. Sorry you did not have an ideal experience. You bring up some important points regarding timing - while drivers can only provide estimates and not guarantees, the extreme delays you reported are not to be expected. We are following up with your carrier. However, special treatment (juggling cars to keep yours in a prime spot) does require more effort and therefore additional compensation is expected.
