Lost our $250 car key and no returned phone calls!!!

After spending lots of time researching companies to transport our 2011 Jeep Wrangler from Fort Worth, Texas to Raleigh, North Carolina I decided to go with Safe Direct. It was a good price and I read mostly all good reviews. Jason at Safe Direct called me back promptly and seemed knowledgable. He told me they only use certain trusted carriers etc. Mark with J and M Transportation would be moving our vehicle. Mark called me to set up pick up and was a great guy.

Pick up of the vehicle was late. It was supposed to picked up in the morning and it ended up being 5:00. We were home all day packing. This was no big deal.

Delivery was faster than we expected. The car was picked up on Wednesday afternoon and Mark with J and M originally told us he would deliver Friday afternoon. We were very excited to receive our vehicle so quickly. Mark called Friday and he had gotten two flat tires that day and had some set backs. He delivered our vehicle first thing on Saturday morning. This was a earlier delivery than we had originally expected so we were still happy.

We meet Mark to get our Jeep and he cannot find our car key!! Luckily we had a extra key. My husband came back to get my car key so we could get the Jeep off the truck. Mark apologized and said that if the key turned up he would call us in a couple days. If we didn't hear from him to give him a call and send us our receipt and he would pay to replace our car key that he had lost. It has been two weeks and we have called Mark with J amd M as well as Jason at SafeDirect and no returned phone calls. We have replaced our key and the cost was $258.00. I have Mark's cell phone so I have sent him text messages with pictures of our receipt and no response.

So really the cost to ship with car was $725 plus replacement key $258 our total cost was $ 983.00. I am frustrated that nobody is calling me back.

Our car was perfect when we received it and we were happy with the timeliness.

It is unfortunate that our key was lost and we were told we would be compensated and nobody is calling us back.
