I had to ship my car from Texas to Virginia due to a job relocation. I went online looking for a shipping company and I got overwhelmed with the amount of information that I started receiving. That is when I found out about Transport Reviews. The company with the best ratings was Safe Direct, so I went to their website.

The first thing I liked was the videos they have on line. I found them very helpful since I had almost no knowledge of how the car shipping business works . Then I used their online form to request a quote. Later that night I receive a quote from Chris with a detailed explanation of the whole process and some tips about the shipping. I was going to call him the next day but he called me first. I explained to him that my main concern was the delivery date because I was going to travel to Alexandria on my other car and I had no one to pick it up on the other side.

He explained to me that it was something that could be arrange with the truck company but he suggested to look for someone (like a friend or a relative) who could help me to ship the car after I had left just to have more flexibility. After talking to him I felt confident about working with Safe Direct so I placed the oder ($225) so they could star looking for a driver. The very next day Chris sent me an email with the name and phone number of the Truck company assigned to my car and he explained that they should contact me by the 13th.

The truth is that by mid afternoon of the 13th they haven't contacted me so I decided to initiate the communication. I spoke to an operator (sorry, I don't recall her name) who was very nice. She apologized for the delay and asked me to confirm the pick up address by text message. I sent the text message and she called me back a few hours later to confirm the pickup date of 01/14. I explained to her that I was leaving town very early in the morning the 16th so she needed to be very sure about the date. She assured me that the driver would be able to pickup the car by that date and then she proceeded to give me his phone number.

Next day I got a text message confirming the picking time of 7:00p. Later that day I received a call from the truck driver and he instructed me to meet him in a Home Depot parking lot near to my apartment (because of clearance restrictions his truck cannot enter every parking lot). I met him that night and after checking the car he gave a receipt and proceeded to put the car in the truck.

During the transportation I was able to contact the driver by cell phone at all times. The day of the delivery (01/18th) he called me about 6:00p to report that he was very close to my apartment complex. Again, I had to go and meet him in a parking lot close by. I received the car and gave him the rest of the money after checking the car. Everything was in order except that the car was very dirty, which was understandable given the weather conditions it went through

All in all, I was very satisfied with Safe Direct and I would be using them in the future.
