Delayed Shipment but Good Customer Service

Shipping our car from Virginia to Utah was a challenge. We went through 2 different brokers to try to ship our van and it took more than a month to get it finally picked up. Granted, we were shipping over the holidays so maybe that was the cause. We kept having to offer more and more money to the truckers to get it picked up, even though the car was in a metropolitan area and going to a populated area. In this industry the car owner is left virtually helpless and the truckers only pick up the highest bidder. So I don't think it really matters which broker you go through, if you're offering enough money, the trucker will pick you up. If not, you're stuck waiting.
The car finally did arrive without scratches or damage, just dirty. Direct Shipping was helpful and did what they could to help, so I would recommend them if you're shipping a car. David was especially honest and forthright. However it was a big enough headache that in the future, I will do everything I can to avoid having to ship a car.
