The short story: I initially reserved with a transporter who showed up and said the vehicle was heavier than he expected; and then he left. I called Safe-Direct Car Shipping back and the next day I was rescheduled with another carrier who showed up on time and delivered our vehicle as promised right to our door!

The full story: As is industry standard the original reservation was made with a pickup date only a few days before we were planning to leave from Virginia to Southern California. We were in a slight state of controlled panic when the driver showed up and left without taking our car. However, Chris at Safe-Direct Car Shipping was not only professional but also responsive beyond just making the reservation. He was able to find another transporter, keep the original pick date and keep the original cost! The new transport company, CAA Transport, was great! Their driver, Clemens, called the day before to confirm the pickup, was within 5 minutes of the time he said he would arrive and delivered our vehicle on the day he said it would arrive in Los Angeles.

I hope everyone has a smooth vehicle move but if something does happen it is reassuring to know there is someone in the business that will take care of your vehicle transport if something happens. Even after they have already been paid! Speaking of being paid, this review is based on the experience we had moving from Manassas, VA to Southern California; the reimbursement for my post, didn't affect what I wrote. The service provided by Safe-Direct Shipping is what effects what I wrote.
