My main concern was timing - have my auto picked up prior to my departure from VA. I did not want to burden friends with that issue.

The initial quote was 1045. I did contact honesty first transport as the date got closer. I understood the date range for pickup - I was intending for initial day as I was flying out the following afternoon. When I didn't hear the day prior to intended pickup, I contacted honesty first transport, and heard that there were 40+ cars scheduled to go from VA to soCal....It was recommended that I up my offer to the shipper - and I increased it by $100. I heard on the intended shipping day that a shipper was set up. My car was picked up late the evening on the scheduled day. It arrived back in CA a week later.
