I received MANY quotes when looking to ship my vehicle for a lease takeover. Safeway was one of my lowest quotes I received. After reading many reviews with different companies, I was nervous to ship my car with any company. I did try to reach out to another company first who never responded back to me (even though they hounded me weekly trying to gain my business). I called Safeway and spoke with Mike (owner) and he filled me in with every important detail, how the entire process works and gladly answered all of my questions. I reached out to them on Thursday 2/5/21 to ship my vehicle from NJ to CT to someone who was taking over my lease on my SUV. They informed me that due to the recent snow NJ had, the shipments were very backed up. The earliest he would most likely be able to do was Monday or Tuesday of the following week (2/8-9) with same day or next day delivery depending on time of pick up. I was fine with that so I decided to just go with it. They required a deposit of $100 to secure my place in line. I ended up getting an email about 4 hours after signing my contract that my vehicle was due to be picked up on Monday 2/8/21. About 15 minutes after the email I got a phone call from the driver picking up my vehicle stating they will be here in the morning (Saturday 2/6). After the phone call, I received a text confirming for pick up for Saturday morning along with some other details (car condition, time frame etc) and very good communication (basically saying they will stay in touch for an ETA). My ETA was 10am Saturday morning. They ended up getting to my location around 11:15AM which I really can't complain since I was not expecting anything to happen until Monday/Tuesday anyway. It was two men who came with a single car trailer. They were very polite and professional. They did all the work (moving my vehicle out of the driveway and onto the trailer). I couldn't ask for anything more! My only downfall was they did not have paperwork/a receipt for me but they were able to provide me with a text message stating they received the payment in full for transport of my vehicle. They had very fast delivery to the new owner of the vehicle. I was informed by the new owner that the vehicle arrived safely within 4 hours after departure. I am VERY pleased with my entire experience and wish I could give 10 stars! Again, Mike the owner was very informative, professional and straight forward. I HIGHLY recommend Safeway.
