When I first requested a quote Mike called me and spent 15 minutes on the phone explaining how the industry worked, including low bids and how effective they might be. He didn't try to fast talk me into a commitment and I told him I was receiving other quotes to compare. He gave a price that he said was fair and after receiving other quotes from brokers I realized that Mike was on the low end. I was concerned that maybe it was too low but after more research I found out that all of the others were too high. Based on the time Mike spent with me on the phone answering my many questions and his willingness to point out the pitfalls to avoid I chose to ship with him. A driver committed to the pickup one day after Mike put it "on the board". Was picked up two days later and delivered when the driver said it would be, even though he had to wait a few hours because of a road closure due to snow. When the driver arrived I asked about the costs being low and he said that what I was quoted was the right price.
This was my first shipment and if I do it again Mike will be my first call. He did a great job and I appreciate his candor in guiding me through the process of interpreting all of the quotes I received.
