Wow! Jon has completely lied in this review because insurance denied his claim. We are a broker and do not own any trucks. Therefore, WE DID NOT ACTUALLY SHIP THIS VEHICLE. In turn, WE DID NOT ALTER ANY BILL OF LADINGS. We did not even see a bill of lading (BOL) until it was emailed to us by Jon, so us altering it would be impossible.
We are a broker so we found an outside trucking company to ship Jon's vehicle. Jon agreed to use this trucking company. I had actually used the same company on a previous shipment for Jon and he was satisfied. The vehicle came back damaged. Jon says they wouldn't allow an acceptance signature, but the fact is, he refused to sign the BOL. This was actually the right thing to do. When Jon called the pick up contact and asked what they had signed, they forwarded a BOL from a different trucking company that I did not hire. It looked as if the trucking company that I hired had subcontracted a different company to pick up the vehicle and deliver to their truck. This supposed trucking company denied ever picking up this car and the company I hired denied using another company to pick up the car. Prior to pick up I was notified that there would be nobody to give the driver any keys, so they were left in the car. However, the mother in law of the seller claims to have signed off on the pick up, which is how the BOL from a completely different company surfaced.
I was extremely helpful to Jon. I gave him all the necessary paperwork and insurance information that he needed to file an insurance claim. I even spent tons of time calling the carrier company on Jon's behalf to try and negotiate a settlement. And why wouldn't I? That's my job to help and do as much as I possibly can. His insurance claim was denied. The settlement offers did not meet the needs for Jon. I'm not an insurance company, so I cannot force people to pay. Jon even called State and Federal agencies to complain and file fraud charges against the carrier company and NOT SAFE CARGO AUTO TRANSPORT. They must have denied his claims as well since he has written this false review.
I'm sorry for Jon's entire situation. I honestly did everything that was in my power to help Jon. Unfortunately, my powers only extend so far. This was the 5th or 6th vehicle that I had shipped for Jon. HE ACTUALLY ASKED ME TO SHIP ANOTHER ONE OF HIS VEHICLES AFTER ALL THIS HAD HAPPENED! It's completely unfair that this situation happened, But it doesn't give him the right to intentionally damage my company with false accusations.
