Here's their report from the BBB; the owner Ryan Bierle has attempted to cover his tracks by putting it in his partners' name, but the BBB caught on. I'll tell my story after the report.

We're one of the unresolved cases, currently with a court judgement against them that they've been ignoring. Here's the story; it's long, due to all of the lowlife behavior of this redneck scumbag company.

July 2004 I moved from Chicago to LA with my wife and daughter. I drove my car out, we hired Roadrunner to move my wifes' SUV, delivery date July 7. The first sign of trouble came when I received a call from the driver July 4, saying that he wanted to deliver the SUV two days early. I said that wasn't going to work, as no one would be there two days early; we asked for delivery July 7 because we weren't arriving until late July 6 (my wife and daughter by plane, myself in my car). At this point the driver became belligerent with me, telling me that I was "f**ing up his schedule." I said I'm sorry, but no one will be there to take delivery until the date we contracted. He said "i've never had anyone b*tch about getting their f**ing car early." I stayed calm and said I wasn't b*tching, but we wouldn't take delivery until July 7. He then said "I'm just going to leave it at an impound lot, and you can go get it there." I said no you're not, you're going to do what you contracted to do. He swore a few more times and finally relented, as if he were doing me some great favor. At this point I wanted to call the office and complain, but I had seen what kind of company they are, and at that point just wanted to get the car and get it overwith, never to deal with them again.

July 7, 2004 arrives, and I receive a call that the driver is outside our gate with our car. I go out and he says "Hey, there's some damage to your car." He shows me what happened - apparently the hitch from the upper deck of the moving truck came loose, swung down, and dented the hood of my car. He admits responsibility, writes it all down, and tells me to call the office with the estimate, because "He's real good about stuff like this. He'll get on it right away." We get three estimates and fax them to Ryan (the owner) within 3 days. No response. Followup calls prove pointless, as the voice-mail box is always full (gee, I can't imagine why). We fax repeatedly, email through their website, and I leave about 5 messages with the phone-girl, who picks up about once every 10 calls.

August 21, 2004. I can't stand looking at the dent any longer, and the small paint flakes are starting to get bigger. We get the car fixed, and the body shop is actually able to repair the hood instead of replacing it, saving a ton of money. Total bill for repairs and rental car just shy of $900, which we pay ourselves. Faxed and certified mailed copies of the bill from the body shop to Roadrunner. They signed for the certified mail. No response.

September 1- November 12, 2004. Two calls minimum every day to Roadrunner, no one answers, voicemail box is always full. I even tried going to the voicemailbox of his partner (the Corey mentioned in the BBB report) and left two messages there, then HIS box was full. No response at all.

A miracle. Ryan answers the phone. He tried to pretend he doesn't know who I am for about 5 minutes. "What's the last name again? I don't have anything with that name on file. Who are you again?" etc. Finally he puts me on hold for about 10 minutes, comes back and says "Oh, yeah, I have something here about that." He then read off the exact amount from the repair bill, asked if that was correct, and said he would personally write the check within a week. I knew he wouldn't, but what could I do? Naturally, two weeks pass and nothing arrives in the mail.

November 29, 2004.
History repeats itself. Ryan actually picks up the phone, and pretends not to know me again. Finally he says "Oh yeah, now I remember. I authorized the check to be cut last Friday (Nov 26). It's check #2998, and it went out in the mail earlier today. You'll have it in a few days." The holiday season allows hope to spring into my heart, but just like fruitcake, hope looks good but can make you sick. Nothing arrives.

December 20, 2004
Spoke to the phone girl, who says Ryan is out of the office for a week, but promised that he would return my call. I tell her I'll hold my breath until that happens.

December 28 2004, I leave for a month in Afghanistan and Iraq. (I am a comedian, and I went to do shows for the troops; I do that regularly)

January 3-20, 2005
My wife takes over, and begins leaving messages with the phone girl & faxing every day. No response.

January 20, 2005
Ryan picks up the phone and speaks with my wife. Promises to cut a check that day, and fax a copy of it to my wife at our home. No fax, no check. Shocked?

February 1, 2005
Sick as a dog with something I picked up in Iraq (they have bugs in the Middle East we've never even heard of, apaprently) I'm back and begin calling again. No response.

February 7, 2005
I leave message with phone girl, stating that March 1 was the drop dead date before legal action. Left the same message on Coreys' voicemail box. No response.

February 10, 2005
Same messages. No response.

February 25, 2005
Same messages. No response.

April 25, 2005
Small Claims Court in Los Angeles County, CA gives us the judgement against Roadrunner, who naturally signed for the subpeona, never responded, and didn't bother to show up in court. No response since then. We're studying our options as to our next move.

It is now August 24, 2005, more than a YEAR after they admitted in writing to damaging my car, and I have not received a penny. I am at this point not only trying to recover the damages, but trying to find my legal options for damages over and above; finance charges, man-hours lost spending time on this, mailing charges, long distances faxes, mental anguish, the jimmy Hoffa disappearance....anything. (If anyone has any idea on this, please fell free to email or PM me)

2010 - Still no resolution despite numerous court orders. I will not give up or go away.

Let me sum up:

DO NOT USE ROADRUNNER AUTO CARRIERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THEY ARE SCUM.
