My comments are designed to help those needing an automobile transported, and have not needed a transport until now. I spent a lot of time looking at ratings and finally choosing the transport company based on the ratings, just as you will probably do. First, you will get a ton of calls from several different transport companies, along with an assortment of different quotes. Our price range was from $1,000 to $1,400, however, we did end up spending a little more once the driver was located; which we didn't mind at all because we requested an enclosed trailer and I understand there are fewer enclosed trailers than open. But that was our preference and were willing to pay extra for that benefit. Here is where I experienced some anxiety....but it was self-induced and uncalled for. After one day I didn't hear back from the transport company, then another day passed and no word on a pick up date. Then we started thinking, "oh no, we choose the wrong carrier!". We were panicking and felt stuck! But.....it had only been TWO days...we were just so anxious to get the car that we were consumed by it. Then, on day four our agent contacted us to let us know the driver was two hours away from the pick up location...wow...that was a great surprise, knowing it could have been a seven day wait and maybe even longer. We were then told it would be about six days to receive the car as it was coming from Georgia to California, in the midst of the worst weather season ever. The driver, JOHN, showed up three days later with the car. JOHN IS AWESOME. Our car was covered with plastic sheeting and was a perfect as the day it was placed in the carrier. I would definitely recommend Red Carpet Transport, and I would suggest asking for JOHN if you want your car taken care of. His truck was a SHOW CAR TRANSPORT truck which I believe is brokered through Red Carpet Transport. Overall a good experience and would use again if needed.
