Doug and Red Carpet were the only transporters that explained how the business worked. We had gotten lower quotes from other shippers (much lower). We had even set up to have the have the vehicle transported with the lower priced shippers and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't call us back. They said that they would call us when they got a truck transporter to accept the rate.
After dealing with Red Carpet, I found out that their quote was so low that they hadn't even submitted it to see if a transport service would pick it up. They just knew that they had me on their chain and when I had stewed for a few days (wondering why no trucker would accept the shipping rate), they could come back and hit me with their "new increased rate" that would have been comparable to the market. In short, they wasted my time...and they wasted their time because I found that Red Carpet shot straight, answered all my questions and got my business.

A transport broker can quote you anything. It's the transport truckers who will say whether that quoted rate is worth their time, gas and miles to to take the delivery. Doug gave us the real deal quote and gave us real time examples of what other vehicles and comparable routes were getting accepted by the truckers. He let us "low-ball" a submission at first and when that rate didn't get picked up, he worked with us as we adjusted up bit by bit. He called us instantly when we had truckers offer to haul our vehicle for more than the $ that we offered. Doug even haggled with the truckers and that saved us $100! Then he gave up some of the commission that he made to save us even more.

He called us to make sure that the vehicle had been picked up promptly. He called us during ther transport time to make sure that everything was on track. He called us to verify satisfactory delivery. He was awesome. Bottom line, we contacted Red Carpet on Saturday after 6pm, the vehicle was delivered on Monday at noon. Great customer service! No BS! Satisfied? You bet!
