Red Carpet Auto (like so many other brokers out there) offers a decent job of helping transport your vehicle from Point A to Point B. The thing to note with any broker is that they cannot promise any guaranteed pick up days or delivery days because this all depends on the actual truck driver who ends up picking up the vehicle (who is in no way connected to Red Carpet Auto). It is almost as if these brokers put up these quotes up on a big bulletin board and the truckers who are making the route and have space pick these up in the order of price (obviously higher price gets picked up first).

Our quote was in the mid-range (lowest quote received from another broker was around $350 and highest was around $600). The car was supposed to be picked up the same day we were ourselves driving to VA from GA. I got multiple calls from the truck driver asking about the location for the pick up and that he will be there that day. When I had not heard back for over 24 hours, I called the truck driver directly and he pretended that he had no idea who I was and obviously had not picked up the vehicle. Called Red Carpet Auto and spoke to Jen who then quickly arranged for another trucker to pick it up. But then she called back and said they will only pick up if given an extra $50. That totally ticked me off.

Although Jen herself was very professional and helpful, I don't like to play these games (what I consider as bait and switch). She could very well say that they have no control over the truckers and their demands, but that is no excuse. If the trucker wanted $50 more, then it should have come from Red Carpet auto's cut and not from the customer.
